Angela, I wanted to tell you that I took a few of those egg shakers from your house, and Jonah LOVES them. It's quite a challenge for him to pick one up, but once he does he totally shakes it! It's hilarious. I'll have to get a video of that.
Now onto some pictures from Luke's trip and then a video of Jonah...
Here is the fish market that I wanted Luke to visit. It's the origin of a philosophy that we implemented in the middle school at South Arbor... the Fish Philosophy. The four key concepts of the philosophy are: Be There, Play, Make Their Day, and Choose Your Attitude. So how is this connected to Seattle? Well, the Fish Philosophy was created by John Christensen, and he first got the idea from visiting the fish market in Seattle. When he was there, he was struck by the employees and how animated and happy they were in their work. They would involve customers in the fun they were having, and they sold TONS of fish! He spent time observing them and the customers, and came up with the Fish Philosophy, which is used in many schools and businesses now. Luke visited the Fish Market this weekend- isn't that cool?!!! Here's a pic of it:
