The Great Outdoors

Last night we spent some time outside just walking around. Jonah thoroughly enjoyed himself!

He noticed the moon right away and looked at it a lot.

He also noticed the neighbor girl's bike and played with the pedal.

When we came in, these two watched a little football together.

Here's a little video of Jonah outside last night. He loves the back of my car. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Where's Ellie?

We've had quite a busy week, which is why I haven't been posting too much. We try to get Jonah outside a little bit every day, but we're not out too long because of the heat! He loves walking around outside, though. There are so many things to point at...
If this isn't adorable, I don't know what is
We're learning lots of new words! And Luke is doing great with all of them, too.

I thought I'd post two videos today. This first one is called "Where's Ellie?" One of Jonah's favorite activities lately is putting something on top of his head. He does it in the bath all the time with those foam letters. And now he even does it with Ellie...

I should call this one "The Musician in Progress"... Jonah found a little tuner that I used to use for my banjo. And now we are subject to his beautiful music. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Happy Birthday Jonah!

Little Jonah turned a year old yesterday. It's hard to believe!

The festivities of the day and evening included:
walking around with Ellie

playing with the balloon
a little ride in the car

with Ellie and the basketball

opening a few presents

playing with the propellor on his new bath toy

watching Daddy put together a little basketball hoop
putting in his two cents
reading lots of books
never missing a beat
reading a new book with mommy

and cuddling too

saying hi to Auntie Angela & Auntie Andrea on skype

trying to hold in sheer excitement as mommy lit the birthday candle
and eating ice cream cake in just his diaper!

What a day! Here's Jonah with the balloon. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Dance Moves

The other day some of the students were doing a fundraiser outside (selling snow cones) and Jonah went and hung out with them for a few minutes. Here he is with Trish Zingaro.

I don't think he stayed in one place, but he sure had fun!

On our way back to the car, we stopped to look at the fountains.

On Sunday, the three of us went to the new pub, which just opened. It's called Queen Mary's Pub. The food was delicious, and Luke was happy to see the football games on.
Jonah was happy to see a lamp that he could point at.

On Friday night, we were invited to someone's house to watch a video and meet some new people. Because Jonah was so tired, I went and left the two boys at home. Neither of them were too disappointed because this is what they did while I was gone...

They sure like to cuddle!

At Dan's house the other day, Jonah and Adaela became friends. In either of their minds, there was not a toy that could surpass the excitement of Cathy's laundry basket.

I took this last night when Luke was playing the guitar. Jonah sure has some unique dance moves. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

A Few Pics This Morning...

He still loves to stand by the window and watch Luke work on the pool

We just got the new Canticle songbooks in, so Luke and I have been singing a lot in the evenings. These songs just bring us right back to Steubenville!
And Jonah still loves eating breakfast...

They do this all the time. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Sprawling

Jonah has taken to sprawling on the floor anywhere and everywhere. I'm not sure where he learned this, but he sure thinks it's fun!

He's a Daddy's boy for sure

And he still loves reading!

We play this game several times every day with Jonah. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Scare Me, Daddy!

You can look, Jonah, but you can't touch.

Marina read a couple stories to Jonah after her piano lesson yesterday.
And he pointed things out to her

The other day when I thought the bathroom door was closed, it took Jonah all of 30 seconds to drag the toilet paper into the living room and then proceed to tear it into tiny pieces.

After a visit to Daddy's office, we walked along the canal

He still loves to be scared! Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!
