Grandpa & Grandma D.

I've been out of commission for a couple days, but I'm back now. Jonah is getting adjusted to his crib, and he's been up at night more than usual, so I've been up at night more than usual. By yesterday I had a fever and a bad headache, so I was down for the day. Then Luke ended up getting a fever too, but we're both back to good health today. We had a wonderful surprise on Thursday, though... my parents showed up! It was perfect timing because they were able to spend the day with Jonah yesterday while I rested up. He is certainly having a good time with Grandpa and Grandma Dougoveto!

Uncle Tom and Aunt Maria came into town last night, too, so it's been great to see them. It will be wonderful to spend the weekend with family... we'll be sure to take lots of pictures! Here are some we've taken so far.

This is how Grandpa & Grandma Dougoveto have been occupying their time in Florida so far... enjoy! Have a great day, and love to all of you!

Sanibel

We spent the evening with Luke's family in Sanibel. It was a nice drive there and a wonderful time together. We had dinner, visited, and passed Jonah around!

This morning Jonah and I went to Immokalee to get groceries at Wynn Dixie and get some more books at the library. He was quite happy as we meandered through the grocery store, well more like rushed through the grocery store trying to grab everything as quickly as possible. He fell asleep in the car then and slept through the whole library excursion.

Onto the pictures!

Crossing the bridge into Sanibel Island- so beautiful!

A picture, from across the water, of the Condit condo...

First to Great Grandma...

Then to Pop...

Then to Grammy...

Four generations of Condits!

Asleep on our bed this morning

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Zach Condit! You're in our thoughts and prayers in a special way today. Have a great birthday!!!
(Okay, so the picture of the condo is a little joke... that's not really it. That's just a picture of one of the houses we saw on our way there! Gotcha!!!)
Here's a little video I took a few days ago. Have a great day, and love to all of you!

See Ya Later, Alligator!

Good morning, everyone. It's a beautiful day in Florida today... we'll have to get outside and take advantage of that. Luke is off to work, and Jonah is taking a nap at the moment. We're going to run some errands in Immokalee today, and other than that just the usual... laundry, cleaning, etc... Tonight we're headed to Sanibel to visit Grammy, Pop, and Great Grandma Condit. That should be very nice!

Now for the pictures. Some are from this past weekend...

This morning

Last night right before bedtime

He's still practicing his rolling over!

I took this picture during our walk on Sunday... notice the alligator on the bank to the left?

Fun during dinner last night

Jonah thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday outing

"What is that in the water? I have to get up close to look."

We took this video this morning. Enjoy. Have a great day, and love to all of you!

Crazy

Oh man, this blog is craaaaaaaaaaaaazy. Now the date is right. Whatever.

Messed Up

Just an FYI... I posted this morning, but the date that appeared on the top is wrong! The date appears automatically- it's not something we put up there, so we will have to figure out what's going on. I just wanted to let you know that we aren't losing our minds. :)

Family Fun Fest

I took a little break from the blog yesterday, which I might start doing on Sundays more often... but I'm back today! We had a wonderful weekend. Saturday we spent some time at the Family Fun Fest, which was quite enjoyable, and then Saturday night Luke & Nick played in a softball game went out to the casino for a little while. It sounds like they had a good time.

Yesterday was a very nice and peaceful day. We went to Mass at 10 AM with Nick, and then he and Al Kresta left for the airport right after Mass. Luke and I had brunch and went for a long walk around Ave Maria. It was beautiful outside, so we stayed out for a while. It was great. Jonah napped during our walk, and he napped some more when we got home. That left us some time to watch a movie- Three Fugitives. It's a good one.

Today I feel like a truck ran over me. :) Last night Jonah slept in his crib for the first time, and he kept rolling over onto his stomach and waking up. It was a long night but he didn't feed until 5:00 this morning, so we're making headway on eliminating those nighttime feedings. It will probably take a week or two to be completely successful. Jonah woke up this morning as happy as can be. Now for today's pictures...

In one of his new sleepers

Old cars at the Family Fun Fest on Saturday

We did win a basket in the silent auction- we got a cooking basket full of items from Pampered Chef. It's awesome!!!

On our way back from the Festival

This is just a little video I took at the Festival on Saturday. The Dixieland band was pretty good... it was a fun time! Have a great day, and love to all of you!

Virtual Tour Segment 4

We just got back from the Family Fun Fest, which holds true to its title. The towncenter is decked out with all kinds of tents, vendors, activities, food, etc... you name it! It's truly a fest, and it's PACKED full of families having loads of fun. :) We managed to make it around the town center only one time as we stopped about every 5 feet to talk to someone. It was a good time. We tried to get hot dogs, but much to Luke's dismay, the line was way too long! We did put in some bids in the silent auction, though, so Luke is going to bike over there right before the auction closes at 4:00 to see if we got any of the baskets.

Nick is taking a nap right now, and Luke is outside by the pool with Jonah. I'm going to clean up the kitchen and put the laundry in the dryer. I have a piano student coming at 4:00, and after that we'll have dinner together before the guys head to the casino for a little bit. I think they're going to check out the new blackjack tables!

Well, that's about it. I actually don't have any pictures to share today, but I'm posting two videos... enjoy!

This morning

Joe and Mary Ellen, here is Segment 4 of the virtual tour... we took this a couple nights ago. Have a great day, everyone, and love to all!

Virtual Tour Segment 3

Here's the next segment of the virtual tour. Oh, and Mary Ellen, these are for YOU too... enjoy!!!

Doctor Day

Today I'm late on the blog because we had a doctor's appointment for Jonah at 8:15 this morning! He was very well-behaved at the doctor's office. After that, Luke went back to work, and Jonah and I bummed around Target for a little while. It was nice.

It's beautiful outside today, so I think we'll probably take a walk sometime this afternoon. Other than that, we don't have a whole lot going on. We do have some pictures, though...

After dinner last night...

Waiting for the doctor this morning

Still waiting...

Jonah loves Dr. Badra!

Getting his check-up

I guess Target is pretty boring.
He did wake up on the way out.

Enjoy the video, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Monkey in the Middle

Finally! It loaded! Here's a video I took this morning...

Virtual Tour Segment 2

For some reason, the videos I have chosen of Jonah will not load, but I will keep trying! I think they're too long or something. However, the following video loaded pretty quickly... this is Segment 2 of our virtual tour. We thought we'd change it up and get outdoors. Joe (and all our family & friends), we hope you enjoy the tour. Love to all!

Saucer Series

Again, I am having trouble getting a video to load! I don't know what the deal is, but we'll stick with pictures for now. It was about 30 degrees outside this morning- unbelievable. Luke is still riding his bike to work, though... he loves the cold.

We're having fun hanging out with Nick. It's so nice to have him here... good times, good times.

I took a series of pictures as you can see here. Jonah is still enjoying the saucer.

"Mmmmm, this looks good."

"What's that mom? It's not food?"

"I'm going to try it anyway."

"You were right, mom. It's not food!"

"Then what the heck is it?"

"But I want food! I'm hungry!!!"

I'll try to post a video later on today. Have a great day, and love to all of you!

Virtual Tour Segment 1

Okay, Joe, I took this video for you last night! You asked to see more pictures of our house, so I thought I'd give you a virtual tour starting on the inside. This is only the first segment... enjoy!

Oh the Weather Outside is Frightful... for Florida

It's 35 degrees out this morning, which is quite cold for Florida. Maybe we'll have some hot chocolate today! :) We don't have too much going on. Jonah and I have some errands to run, and we might end up taking a little trip into Naples- if not, it will just be Immokalee. We'll see.

Today's pics...

Jonah still loves storytime!

"Thanks for the teddy bear, Julie. I love it!"

This is how Jonah got ready for his nap yesterday.

He's really into his toes right now!

"Man, watching mommy fold the laundry is so boring..."
I took this yesterday. (Oh, by the way, Joe, we did get your comment, and we're going to do a virtual tour series of our house for you... it will start today or tomorrow so keep an eye on the blog!)

Have a great day, and love to all of you!

Friends are Friends Forever

The video finally loaded! This was taken on Saturday right after Luke and Jonah got back from their morning walk, and as you can see, Jonah is still taken with his little friends.

Really Rolling

Unfortunately, I cannot get a video to load this morning! It just won't work... I've tried a couple different videos, but to no avail. We'll just have to stick with pictures for now.

Jonah is rolling both ways now, and this morning was the first time that he exercised that ability to get quite far across the floor. This first picture was taken after he rolled across the floor to the ironing board, where I had Luke's shirt hanging off the end. Jonah grabbed it from the hanger and held onto it. Now we really have to start baby-proofing the house and being just a bit more careful! He's a mover.

Look at these two... still at work even in the evening!

Spending time with nature while I cooked dinner last night

Looking at the sunset together

Preparing dinner

I will try to post a video later on. This is all I can do for now. Have a great day, and love to all of you!
