More of Christmas

Here's Jonah and his Christmas stocking.

He opened the presents in his stocking on Christmas Eve.

There was a little wooden truck, which he really likes to play with on the coffee table, and then a couple other small things.

Here's the biggest gift from Santa, a little desk to work at.

Caleb is all over the place now!

Sleepy time

Jonah got a litte music CD from Grammy and Pop, and his favorite song is "The Ants Go Marching" - Luke and Jonah do this every day now, and Jonah's ability to march and move his arms at the same time is steadily improving.

Merry Christmas, Everyone!!!

You know how you get those nice family pictures from people at Christmas time? They're so cute. The kids are in festive outfits, their hair is combed, everyone's smiling and looking at the camera... so nice. Have you ever wondered how many pictures must be taken prior to THE ONE? If so, this post is for you. Enjoy the pics!

Smile, Jonah!

No, I said "smile" not "poke your brother in the cheek"

"or the eye"

Frustration sets in...

Let's try new scenery

And one video... enjoy!

Christmas Eve in Florida

I love this guy!

Play with the fake snow Grammy sent us...

Great picture of the boys... Caleb's been very cuddly with his daddy the past few days.

These two sat and worked at the table for a while this morning. Jonah wrote out bills, and Luke colored some pictures of Snow White. Hahaha

He's getting so big!!!

Here are some videos we'd like to share. The first one I took at the soccer field yesterday, and the rest I took outside this morning. It was a beautiful morning, and here you'll get to see what Jonah's favorite outdoor activity is when we play in the front of the house.

Recent Happenings...

Cute little Caleb... he already has his first two teeth. One came in last week and the other one just two days ago.

Daddy has a way of making him laugh!

Jonah got in on the smiles, too!

It's been chilly here, which makes us happy. Here's Caleb in his new coat and hat from Grandpa and Grandma.

I gave Luke a nice new haircut the other night. What do you think?

Jonah, with his perpetual burst of energy.

Mom, I know you sent us the green and red stars for decorations around the house, but we found another use for them... a crown for King Jonah's head.

"Okay, Caleb, I'm going to take some pictures of you in your new hat."

"Okay, mom, I'm ready. Shoot!"

"You've taken two already... are you going to take yet another one?"

"This is actually getting kind of fun!"

"Okay, that's enough, I'm tired."

And some videos... enjoy!

Conversation Collectibles

#1:

Me (Seeing that Jonah had picked something up off the floor): "Jonah, what is that? Bring it over to mama."

Jonah (walking over): "Here you go, mama."

Me (seeing it was an old match): "What is that called, Jonah?"

Jonah: "A candlestick!"

#2: Luke had the flu on Friday evening...

Me: "Jonah, daddy doesn't feel good. Should we say a prayer for him?"

Jonah: "Say a prayer for him." (he repeats everything!)

Me: "Okay, let's say the Hail Mary. Hail Mary, full of grace... ... ... now and at the hour of our death..."

Jonah: "Amen. Daddy feels good!"

#3: Passing by the elementary school the other day while the kids were outside playing basketball...

Jonah: "Nice shot!"

Silence.

Jonah: "Did you see that nice shot, mama?"

#4: On the way to Naples Saturday morning, Luke and I were just sitting in the front of the car listening to Jonah talk. The best part was when he was holding Ellie up to the window, and he said:

"Look at all those nice flowers, Ellie!"

Three Takes of Caleb

Caleb is still loving the jumper!

Last night Jonah went in the bike trailer, and it was really cold out. We didn't have any mittens for him, so we improvised! He liked it.

Until he got to the football game and realized he had to take the socks off in order to throw the football.

Here are three videos of Caleb cuddling with Mama... doesn't sound too exciting, right? We were trying to get something specific on camera. Almost every night when I hold him while sitting in the rocking chair, he puts his head on my chest, then sits up and looks around until he's too tired, then he flops his head back down on my chest again. He'll usually do this between 5 and 10 times, but last night we had trouble getting him to cooperate. :) They always know when the camera is there, and he apparently thought it was funny.

The Zoo & Ring Around the Rosie

Happy little Jonah

Curious little Caleb who is getting close to crawling

We've had some chilly evenings. Last night the temp here got down to 31 degrees! We love it! Jonah wears a sweatshirt and hat almost every night now.

On Saturday we met Patrick and Mary Kate at the zoo. Jonah and Elizabeth had a lot of fun looking at the animals together.

Even Caleb joined in the fun

Side by side, Jonah and Elizabeth experienced the wonders of the zoo

And here's Mary Kate with Catherine, who is just 7 days older than Caleb

Jonah is REALLY into Ring Around the Rosie. I have my mom to thank for this. She gave us a book of Barney doing mother goose rhymes. Jonah absolutely loves it!

At the zoo we did a little boat ride, where we got to see monkeys on different islands, and Luke took a short clip during the ride. It was difficult because Jonah was on his lap jumping around!
