A Teaspoon of Carrots

Jonah had a doctor's appointment this morning, and he's very healthy! He weighs 18 pounds 6 ounces, and he's doing great. It's time to start him on fruits and veggies, and now he can even sip water from a sippy cup. It will be fun to get him going on those...

"There's nothing like an evening stroll and the wind on my face..."

Looking at his daddy

More pics with the basket. He even manages to get it on the saucer...

My guys

Not quite awake yet

Ever wonder what Luke looks like as a mascot?

Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Basket of Toys

We had a nice weekend. Saturday we spent some time in Naples running errands, and then in the afternoon Luke went to the rugby game, and later on I went to Mass. Sunday we had plans to grill out at the beach on Sanibel, but it turned out to be a cloudy rainy day, so we postponed our plans for another time!

Jonah's favorite toy right now isn't even a toy. It's the basket that holds the toys. In the morning when we put him down to play on the blanket, we just set the basket right next to him, and he tips it over and gets all the toys out. Then he plays with the basket.

On the couch with Daddy

"I LOVE being naked!"

Isn't this precious?

While I was at Mass on Saturday, Luke decided to work on the pool, so he set the monitor on the grill and got to work. At some point, he bumped it and it bounced once and landed in the pool! As you can see, he tried to take it apart and get it working again, but to no avail. (I can't fail to mention that this isn't the first "appliance" that Luke has managed to drop in the pool- the first one was the powerwasher! I tried to tell him that he only needs to powerwash around the pool, not inside. Hahaha)

A series of pictures with Jonah's new teething ring from Grandma D. He loves it!
"Thanks, Grandma!"

Jonah's been enjoying some time on the carpet without his clothes on. I've been working on the windows, and this is a way to give him some of the nice Florida breeze. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Under the Weather

We want to wish a very very very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Maria on her big day! We love you so much and hope you have an awesome birthday. (For some great pics of Maria, visit "What's Doin' at the Dougs" - www.dougovetos.blogspot.com.) Here's some of her with her nephew....

Happy Birthday, Auntie Maria. I love you!

Jonah has been a little under the weather the past couple of days. He's been fussier than usual and sleeping more. We took him on a little walk last night to get some fresh air, and it was nice. He loves being outside. Cute story... we went into the coffee shop, and the owner's little daughter Bella saw Jonah. She asked what his name was and then she said to me, "It looks like he's taking good care of his baby little ducky." (Yes, she said it in that order- it was so cute!) The best part was right after that when she looked at Jonah and said, "Are you being a good little daddy?"

We checked out Publix to see how it's coming along
Luke went inside and took a picture

While I was busy eating a cookie

We had a nice walk!

Changing Jonah this morning

He's still just as cute when he's not feeling well.
The straps on the changing table are a big help!
Jonah still manages to roll over.

Holding onto his daddy and his bumblebee

Like I said, he's been sleeping a lot more the past couple of days. Here's an example. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Fun With Daddy

We want to wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Rachel Condit, our niece and Luke's Goddaughter. We'll be praying for you in a special way today. Hope you have a wonderful birthday. :)

I guess Jonah was surprised that I was taking a picture or something...

When it's breezy outside, I open the patio doors and let the fresh air in. Jonah loves playing with the curtains!

He's thinking of dentristy for a profession... (Tips from Grandpa D. are welcome)

And he loves sucking on daddy's face. I'm not sure what profession that indicates.

This is a video of Jonah and Uncle Joe in Colorado. I don't think I ever posted it. (By the way, Uncle Joe and Auntie Mellie sang this song to Jonah quite a few times in Colorado. And we're still singing it now! Thanks, guys- Jonah loves it!)
Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you...

Little House

There are all kinds of TV series that people watch today. I know "24" is a favorite for many. In this house, it's "Little House on the Prairie". Yes, it might be from way back when, but it's better than anything that's on tv now. It's clean, it's funny, and there's always a lesson to learn from every episode. We watch one episode almost every evening, and we are almost through the first season. Luke is really looking forward to the end of this season- NOT because it's the end but because there's a quiz you can take covering all the episodes. We'll see how we do!

Onto the pictures...

He's still playing with the monkey
Is this a happy kid or what?

Chillin' out

Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Trolleys, Road Blocks, & Festivals

We had a nice day yesterday. It was gorgeous outside! Luke went to the 10:00 Mass, while Jonah and I stayed home to prepare brunch. In the afternoon we walked down to the towncenter to browse the Festival of the Arts. There was a jazz band playing outside and all kinds of vendors around the circle. It was neat. We checked everything out. I went to the 7pm Mass last night while Luke and Jonah spent some quality time together- I understand they had a very good time!!! Onto the pictures...

The Ave Maria trolley meandered by our house yesterday, and Luke and Jonah just HAD to be there... they waved to all the elderly folk!!! :)

Ave Maria needs to invest in some heavier road equipment. In the meantime, we faithful citizens will just have to pitch in and pick up the ones that fall over.
Jonah is loving his thumb these days!

And his daddy!

Don't forget Mommy...

What you are about to see in this video, Jonah is REALLY into right now. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!
