Corn Toss and More...

We've been enjoying our time with Grandpa and Grandma. A couple nights ago we hauled out the corn toss boards and played some games- the weather was beautiful outside, and it was really enjoyable to toss the bean bags again!

Jonah likes the red sunglasses that Grandpa brought down.

He's still hanging onto them while Daddy teaches him about corn toss.

A few practice tosses...

while Grandpa and Grandma play with the hose.

Jonah's still trying to figure out the game.

He spent some time in Grandpa's car playing with all the buttons...

And they got some storytime in, too...

He loves this big truck book that has all the flaps!

We have pool time almost daily now...

He still falls asleep in the high chair once in a while!

We're still waiting for Caleb to arrive. He was due to come yesterday, but he must be pretty comfortable in there! I'm scheduled to be induced on Saturday if he doesn't show up by then, but we're hoping he does. We'll see what happens. It's been great having Grandpa and Grandma here, especially because we had a house-showing yesterday, and we have one today as well. We also have one this coming Thursday, so it's been helpful to have some other hands around.
And that's about it. Enjoy the videos!
God bless!

In the Empty Sandbox

Here's mom teaching Jonah Frisbee 101 with a coffee can cover. He's catching on pretty fast!

Breakfast was pretty yummy this morning- he was happy in the high chair.

I've been taking Jonah in the pool every afternoon. Actually, he doesn't like to go all the way in- he just likes to sit on the top step. Naked.

Grammy and Pop got a sandbox for Jonah, and it came yesterday. Even though we haven't gotten sand for it yet, it came with a cover, which has afforded Jonah a lot of fun. We put the whole thing inside the house yesterday, and he loved sitting inside it with the cover on. Thanks, Grammy and Pop!

I can't really remember what this first video is... but I hope you like it!

And here's something Jonah learned last week.

Water & More Water

Last night the weather was beautiful, and Luke decided to cut the grass and do the edging. It's so nice now that he can work outside and not have to worry about studying for upcoming tests! So while he mowed the lawn, mom and I watered the front lawn, and Jonah played around in the water. It was fun!

He loves to be totally wet!

Snack time with Grandma...

We saw two deer outside yesterday, and Luke snapped a few pics- can you see em?

Jonah and I ran a few errands in the morning, and we stopped by the statue of Jesus. Jonah just loves looking at this statue, counting Jesus's toes, and pointing to the cross. We must have spent about 15 minutes here.

We've been going in the pool now and then...

Enjoy!

Grandma D. Arrives & Luke Graduates!

Yesterday was a very special day... Luke's graduation! He now has his Masters Degree, so it's pretty exciting. Jonah loved the outfit, especially the tassle.

Jonah is in a new outfit that he got from Grandma... isn't he cute?

After the graduation, Luke listened closely to the instructions.

THIS is how it feels to finish a Masters degree.

Here's me with Master Luke and Dr. Dentino...

Luke's parents were here for the ceremony, and they joined us for lunch afterwards while Luke went back to class.
A proud mother-in-law...

Jonah's going to try out some floaty arm bands in the pool. They look a little big, but hopefully they'll work.

"What in the world is this, mom?"

Grandma Dougoveto arrived on Thursday night, and Jonah has greatly enjoyed her company! They've been reading lots of books together...

Here are several videos that have been taken since the last post... enjoy!

Sing? Ho?

Jonah plays like this a lot. He loves the pink ball, and he throws it and kicks it around the kitchen constantly. You'll hear him say his name at one point, too, which is something he's been doing more of lately. He'll say, "Nice shot, Jonah!" I guess if we don't give him enough affirmation, he'll take care of it himself. :)

Luke is still reading Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Jonah, and he sings the song "Heigh ho, heigh ho, it's home from work we go..." you know that one? Well, before I took this video, Jonah was saying to Luke, "Sing? Ho? Sing?" We couldn't get him to say it for the video, though. It's still cute! Now he doesn't want you just to sing- he wants a specific song!

This is a popular game in our house. The way Jonah tells us he wants to play is he hides behind something and says "Jonah?"

Sanibel Causeway

We had a wonderful day with Grammy and Pop on Sanibel Island yesterday. The weather was beautiful and 8 degrees cooler than it was in Ave Maria. That was delightful! We started off at the causeway, where Jonah got to play on the beach with the sand and stick his toes in the water. Here he is playing with some new beach toys. Thanks, Grammy and Pop!

The shovel is a beloved toy. Jonah pronounces it "shobel"... it's so cute.

Look at these two just relaxing and enjoying the warm sun!
He got to try out the beach chair
And play in the sand with his dad.
Then we went back to Grammy and Pop's where they watched a little clip on the Seven Dwarfs. Of course, Jonah's go-to word was "again"... he loved the dwarfs!

There's always more time to play with Daddy!

I wish I could get all the pictures to load because I have some other really cute ones, but I've tried several times. I guess I'll try again next time. Here are a few videos. On our way home last night, Luke almost drove through a red light and accidentally exclaimed "Oh crap!" Here was the result...

I can't remember what these videos are of, but they were taken over the weekend. Enjoy!
