In the Bouncy Seat

Health Restored

We are all feeling much better this morning... Luke and I continued to have high fevers until the middle of the night last night. They're finally back to normal and the aches are gone. It's so nice to be feeling better I must say. Jonah is doing great- thankfully, he never caught whatever we had, but he has slept a lot more over the past few days than he usually does. Last night he did get up three times to eat, at 11:00, 2:30, and then 5:30, so it was a busy night! His favorite place to sit this week is in the bouncy seat that Uncle Walter bought him... you'll see it in one of the pictures below. It seems like he's talking more every day and just getting more and more fun. He still kicks his legs around just as much as ever- I can't imagine how fast he's going to crawl once he starts. Okay, now for some pics...

P.S. Jonah and his little birdie spent a lot of time together during our travels this weekend. It's apparent in this video, taken at the airport on Sunday, that he's found true love. He never takes his eyes off her!

The Fever Strikes

Hey guys, I'm only posting a few pictures today. Luke and I are both down with fevers. I started to get achy yesterday afternoon, and by the evening my temperature was almost 102, but it got better... now the aches and the fever have returned this morning, probably from not getting enough rest. Luke was wonderful taking care of Jonah last night. They talked to each other, read a couple books, and just hung out. Now this morning, Luke's temperature is 101, so we're both under the weather. Jonah's is a healthy 97.7, though... praise the Lord! We'll be spending the day mostly in bed, except to play with Jonah and change his diaper... other than that he can take his naps right on the bed with room to spare. Also, he had a scheduled doctor's appt today which I will cancel as soon as the office opens. Okay, here are just a few more pictures... these are probably the last ones of the Thanksgiving vacation that I will send. We need some new pics, right?

Preparing for Christmas

It's another day... we put up some Christmas decorations last night, so that was fun. We haven't gotten a tree yet, but we will soon- Luke gets VERY excited about Christmas decorations... almost as excited as he gets about the weather. Before Jonah went to bed last night, Luke read him a picture book called Goodnight Moon, and it was so adorable. He looked at the pages the entire time! He seemed to love all the colors. We'll read a different book tonight.

Today I will still be doing some laundry from the weekend, and I've been looking through Taste of Home magazines for new recipes. I know... exciting! Tonight when Luke gets home from work we'll probably take a walk with Jonah since we haven't done that for a while. There's a basketball game going on at the Grammar Prep School, so we'll walk there and watch part of the game. We've done that before, and Jonah seems to enjoy it! Back in Florida

We're back in Florida now. It was a great Thanksgiving... much too short! The trip back to FL went well. Jonah did awesome on the plane. He didn't sleep as much as he did on the first flight, but he was very happy the whole time. We landed in Fort Myers around 8:30 P.M. and then we ended up taking a cab home from there. Everything turned out great. Then to top it all off, Jonah slept more last night than he ever has! He went to sleep around 11 P.M. and didn't wake up until almost 5:00... it was amazing. Anyway, today we've just been unpacking and getting things back in order. Not too much to report aside from that. I'm going to try and make some hamburger soup tonight- I think the cold weather up north inspired me to make some soup. Tonight Luke and I are going to take out our Christmas decorations and maybe put a few things up around the house. That should be fun! (Dad, how are the Christmas decorations going at home, by the way?) Well, I better run. Jonah has been talking with his "friends" for a little while now, and I think I better make sure he has't forgotten about me. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
