Conversation Collectibles

#1:

Me (Seeing that Jonah had picked something up off the floor): "Jonah, what is that? Bring it over to mama."

Jonah (walking over): "Here you go, mama."

Me (seeing it was an old match): "What is that called, Jonah?"

Jonah: "A candlestick!"

#2: Luke had the flu on Friday evening...

Me: "Jonah, daddy doesn't feel good. Should we say a prayer for him?"

Jonah: "Say a prayer for him." (he repeats everything!)

Me: "Okay, let's say the Hail Mary. Hail Mary, full of grace... ... ... now and at the hour of our death..."

Jonah: "Amen. Daddy feels good!"

#3: Passing by the elementary school the other day while the kids were outside playing basketball...

Jonah: "Nice shot!"

Silence.

Jonah: "Did you see that nice shot, mama?"

#4: On the way to Naples Saturday morning, Luke and I were just sitting in the front of the car listening to Jonah talk. The best part was when he was holding Ellie up to the window, and he said:

"Look at all those nice flowers, Ellie!"

It is so wonderful that you have these conversations on this blog. So many times when you were growing up I would say I have to write that down and of course it never happened. It is amazing to see through the eyes and mind of the little ones.

Our grandchildren are very blessed to have such wonderful parents.

Aww Jonah! Wish I could give that little guy a big kiss!
