More Birthday Wishes!

Jonah is really starting to put some words together to make phrases and little sentences. Whenever he hits his head or another part of his body, he always says the part of the body and then what he hit it on, such as: "Head... table!" or this morning he bumped his foot on something in the car, and he exclaimed "Foot... car!" or one we hear quite frequently is "Nose... basketball!" We'll let you know when he starts to add some words in the middle.

A couple actual sentences he says now are "I got it" and "Where did it go?" though for the second one the beginning of the sentence is a little muddled.

Jonah is a little under the weather right now, though I'm not sure where exactly he picked up this little cold. Nevertheless, I took him with me to my doctor's appointment this morning, and although it was a little rough, he did great! We heard Caleb's heart beating, and it was nice and steady. Now that I'm considered full term, we're already talking about contractions. Oh my goodness, the time is drawing near...

Bye Bye Sun

On Good Friday, I attended the service at church while Luke and Jonah went to the park and spent some good quality time together. Jonah loves the red tunnel.

He likes to take handfuls of woodchips in the tunnel with him.

And lay down! Luke captured both of Jonah's favorite tunnel activities. :)

The past few nights we've taken Jonah outside to watch the sun go down, and he loves it. There are several different words or phrases he says when we're watching the sun go down:

"Again?" (It'll go down again tomorrow, Jonah.)

"Bye bye sun" (That's nice of you to say bye bye to the sun.)

"Down" (Yep, the sun is going down.)

"Home" (That's right, the sun has gone home.)

Easter Festivities

Caleb is coming along nicely! :)

We don't go to Mass together too often, but today being Easter Sunday, it was just one of those special days!

And of course Jonah managed to find some little patches of sand outside of the church.

He and Dada walked around... well Dada walked and Jonah mostly ran. After sitting mostly still through the whole Mass, he needed to get his energy out!

Last night we dyed Easter eggs, and it was quite fun.

Even though Jonah didn't quite know what was going on, he still seemed to enjoy this new activity!

Tractor Conversation

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures or videos to post today... I guess I'm slacking, but I can share with you my conversation with Jonah this morning. We were on our way to the park, and as we passed by the construction site near our house, Jonah immediately looked for the big tractor that is always there. Our conversation went as follows:

Jonah: "Tractor?"

Me: "I don't know where the tractor is today. Where did it go?"

Jonah: "Buh-bye."

Me: "It went bye-bye?"

Jonah: "Home."

Me: "The tractor went home?"

Jonah: "Home." (waving) "Buh-bye tractor."

Dr. Thornburg's

As you know, Luke takes Jonah outside every night to say goodnight to everything. A couple nights ago, it was a very breezy evening, and this is how Jonah said goodnight:

"night light! night, moon! night, car! night, flag! night, grass! night, windy!"

This morning Jonah had a doctor's appointment, and I did take some pictures afterwards. Dr. Thornburg runs his practice out of his home, which is out in the "country" in Naples... he has goats, chickens, and all kinds of other animals in the back, so this morning I took Jonah up to the fence to see them all. He could have stayed forever! Here are some pictures...

A little fatigue never stops Jonah when he's outside. He just sucks on his thumb and does what he does. :)

Shoot It

Here's the snake we found outside our front door on Saturday evening. Luke did some research and found it's a corn snake and not venomous, thankfully.

We got Jonah a little basketball hoop that's adjustable, and now the only words we hear from him are "shoot it"... he's been playing basketball nonstop.
