Blow to the Toe

Here's Jonah and Luke watching the Superbowl together.

Two nights ago Jonah had a little accident. He was moving things around on the first shelf of the pantry, and he grabbed a big ceramic jar full of popcorn kernels and it fell on his big toe. Let's just say it was a LONG evening. He didn't really sleep until after midnight, at which time we wrapped his toe and foot up as you see here. That helped a lot.

Here's a couple short videos. He wasn't much into playing the next morning as his toe was sore and he was going on a very limited amount of sleep! He limped for a day, which you might be able to catch a glimpse of here.

At the Zoo

We went to the zoo in Naples on Saturday, and although Jonah would have been just as happy out in our driveway, it was still a fun time!

I know it appears as if I'm in the cage with the animals, but I'm not! :)

While Luke was studying the zebras, Jonah fed me some crackers.

On Saturday evening, we went to an event on campus where they were showing a movie outside... they had free hot dogs (which was the selling point for Luke) and popcorn. It was chilly out and fun. Jonah played with Ava and the ball...

A few videos at the zoo. You'll notice with the ducks that most of the children run from them. There's one child that made the ducks run, and that was Jonah.

Throwing Balls

There is one chair in the house that Jonah's allowed to sit in right now. (The others are all dangerous due to his habit of standing up on them and getting rambunctious.) In this chair, he just sits and reads...

We are on round 2 of testing cloth diapers. Here Jonah's wearing the Gdiaper. So far we like it better than the first kind we tried!

He can still be quite flexible.

Headless St. Joseph Explanation

Well, we've had some questions and comments about our St. Joseph statue, so I should explain. Jonah has managed to knock over both of our St. Joseph statues, the little stinker! Luke had routinely taken Jonah each night before the statue to say goodnight and give St. Joseph a kiss. Well, ever since Joseph's head got detached, Luke has simply been taking the head down and letting Jonah kiss it. Now Jonah LOVES doing that himself. It's probably his favorite activity right now. He takes the head off, kisses it, and then puts it back on, only to do it again right away. The fun that he has had with St. Joseph's head renders us quite reluctant to take out the superglue.

We made our weekly trip to the library yesterday. Here you can see what Jonah loves more than all the books in the world. Go figure! (The computer isn't even on; he just likes sitting on the seat and typing on the keys.)
