A Quick Post...

We're leaving for the grocery store, so I've got to do this fast!

At the doctor's office yesterday, Jonah enjoyed pointing to the pictures on the wall!
At home every day, he enjoys pointing to the toaster.
And he always shares his food at dinnertime. Yummy.

Another Sample of Playtime

We just got home from Naples because Jonah had a doctor's appt. He's very healthy and doing great! :) I just have a couple pictures of him for today.

Yesterday I found him sitting in another basket. He is holding a picture of Luke and me, which he got from the bookshelf.

Still pointing at everything, but his favorite object to point at is the ceiling fan in the living room.

Here's another sample of Jonah playing, which I took yesterday. There are two things he does in this video that he does quite often. One is the squealing- I'm sure you'll notice that right away. Another thing he does all the time is shake his head back and forth when he's looking at something in his hands. I think he does it twice in this video. You get an idea of little things he's doing each day. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Pointing

When Luke takes Jonah outside every night to say goodnight to things, he always points at the trees, the moon, the clouds, etc... and now Jonah is pointing along with his dad. You can see what I mean in the two pictures here. They are a little foggy- it was so humid out last night that when I'd walk outside with the camera, the lens would fog up immediately! At least you get the idea. When I got Jonah out of his crib this morning, he was already pointing. It's his new hobby.

Praise the Lord!

We had a very nice 4th of July. It's a special day... the feast of Blessed Pier Giorgio, who Jonah's middle name comes from. We went to a neighbor's house for a little BBQ, and in the afternoon I worked outside a little bit. Last night the three of us went out to dinner at Chili's in Naples. It was a wonderful day!

Here you can see the three new bushes I've planted to replace some of our ugly dying ones. The new ones are the two colorful ones next to the tree and then the one closest to the bottom left corner of the picture- that one has beautiful yellow flowers, but it looks like only one of them has bloomed so far.

This is when you know the weeds have gotten out of control...

This needs some explaining. Grammy (Luke's Mom) has this thing she's done with all of her grandchildren when they're babies. She holds up their hands, and instead of saying "Soooooo big" she says "Praise the Lord!" We've done it so many times with Jonah that now he puts his hands up when you just say the words. Here's a picture to prove it.

He still loves his ducky that he got from Grandma Dougoveto.

Daddy's Boy

Twice yesterday I tried to get Jonah to come to me when Luke was holding him, but he wanted to stay with his daddy. He's a daddy's boy! He gets so excited every time Luke comes home from work... it's so cute. Those two have a lot of fun together.

Bah Bah

For the first time in a while Jonah slept straight through the night. We didn't hear one little peep out of him. I got up this morning to check on him, and he was all curled up in the corner of the crib. He was up by 7:30, though. He had a wonderful night's sleep, and so did we!

Jonah is trying to stand everywhere without support now. He can make it for 30 seconds, and then he falls back down. He's saying the "bah bah" sound quite a bit and making all kinds of funny noises. He very afraid of heights, so when Luke holds him high up in the air he gets scared. He used to like to grab onto the string hanging from the ceiling fan, but those days are gone now. We'll see if he gets over that.

Fun Fun Fun

I've been sitting here for a minute thinking about what to write! I guess there isn't too much that is new around here. I'll just move onto the pictures, and I'll write more tomorrow.

Every once in a while I catch Jonah just staring out the window. He loves the outdoors!
