The Light

Behind our house there's a lamp post that Jonah is in love with. Actually, he's in love with the light itself. It goes on when it gets dark outside, but then it will only stay on for a few minutes... then it goes out. It just keeps going on and off, it's weird. I'm not sure what we'd do with Jonah for the last half hour before bedtime if this light did not exist. Every single night before he goes to bed, he wants to look at the light, usually with his dad. He says, "Let's look!" Then they draw back the curtain to look at the light, and then Jonah will run around, sometimes jump and down, and exclaim, "I can't believe it's on!" or "I can't believe it's off!" or "It's amazing!" Sometimes he will ask his dad to "blow it on" or "blow it off," to which Luke will blow toward the window in the direction of the lamp post. Jonah loves it. This saga will continue for an entire half hour every night, and even then he only stops because we tell him it's time for bed. When we go into his bedroom, he wants to look at the light that's outside the bedroom window. Unbelievable. What is in this kid's future?!!!

Jonah is the best. What is he going to come up with next to keep us all entertained?
