Timber!

Here's my work station when Jonah's taking his nap. We keep the computer in the guest room now, and I just move Caleb around in the Moses basket!

He's pretty comfy in there.

Jonah has a little set of big legos now, and he's not the only one who likes to play with them

We got this swing on Craig's List for less than half its retail price. Caleb absolutely loves it.

This is always how things end up when he's in the swing

Occasionally, Jonah tries to give Ellie or other toys to Caleb, so we have to keep an eye on him!

Luke put the gate up around the pool the other day, so Jonah and I have been hanging out right outside the patio doors sometimes. It's a great place to practice dribbling!

And here's where we've decided to put the sandbox.

He's already getting his thumb in there!

Reading books on our bed has been a very popular activity with Jonah lately

And so has reading books with Caleb, though he tends to fall asleep

Jonah got to hold his baby brother for the first time yesterday. He did have his arms around him, but I couldn't get that on camera.

Jonah looks like he wants to ask some questions about his brother, doesn't he?

He's already looking bigger!

And videos...
Jonah likes to play "copy cat" now. I don't know where he got this idea, but he likes to do an action and then have us copy him. Here's a video of Jonah and Luke playing this little game after dinner.

Jonah's favorite game right now is Timber! Stack anything up, and he can knock it over and say "Timber!" It's pretty fun.

Our new swing and Caleb's paradise...

More Timber!

Cuddly One

Mom and Dad left on Friday, so the last couple days we've been adjusting to life with just the four of us. We certainly miss Grandpa and Grandma! Luke and I have had a few moments where we've just laughed our heads off due to the sheer chaos we feel... this morning was one of those moments. It was ten minutes before Mass started (yes, the Mass that I was going to attend)... Caleb was nursing, and Luke was tending to Jonah. Then the baby went in his diaper, and seeing as I still didn't have my hair fixed, I asked Luke to change the baby's diaper so I could finish getting ready. That's when Jonah got a hold of some lotion somewhere, and we soon found him in the kitchen taking a lick off his finger. After we took the lotion away, we just laughed. Sometimes if we don't laugh, we might have an anxiety attack. We're doing great, though!
Caleb had his first bath while Grandpa and Grandma were here

All clean and cozy!

Jonah broke the pair of sunglasses that Grandpa had in his car, so they found a new pair that he just loves and wears all over the house

He's warming up to his little brother now

I still have more pictures from when Grandpa and Grandma were here.

Can you tell how this little guy likes to snuggle?

He looks pretty cool in his new shades! I love this picture of Grandpa and Jonah. (By the way, dad's nickname for Jonah is Kid Dynamite- pretty fitting, if you ask me.)

Everyone smile and say cheese!

I'm slowly learning how to do everything at once!

Grandpa got to take Jonah outside for his "goodnight stroll" several times during his visit. I think his favorite thing about it was how he would point to the stop sign, spell the word, and then ask Jonah what it spells. He would say, "Jonah!"

Talking with his grandson

The pop in the kitchen is, unfortunately, a popular attraction for Jonah

Snuggle time with Grandma

She looks so happy! Caleb looks pretty content too!

He really likes his new tool set. Still fixing lots of things around the house...

Isn't this precious?

I can't get enough myself

Look at this kid! We got a cuddly one, that's for sure!

I wasn't kidding

We love you, Caleb

And a bunch of videos... sorry that I post the same one twice sometimes. It takes forever to load everything, and sometimes I can't remember which videos I've loaded.

Baptism and More

First of all, we want to congratulate Walter and Kim on the birth of their daughter, Scarlett Rose. We are so happy for you guys and wish we were there to hold the little peanut. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you recover from the labor (Kim) and begin this new adventure.

We are doing well here. Mom and Dad will probably get on the road tomorrow as they are anxious to see their new granddaughter. In fact, they were originally going to leave on Saturday, but ever since Scarlett was born, mom keeps moving the departure time up. First it was Saturday, then it became noon on Friday, and now it's early Friday morning. I keep wondering if she's going to change it again and just get on the road tonight! We will be sad to see them go.

Jonah and Caleb are both doing just wonderfully. Jonah gets better with his little brother each passing day. Today he helped Luke burp him, and he was with me as I changed a couple of Caleb's diapers. He'll kiss the baby now, which is so cute. So he really seems to be adjusting well. Caleb is the sweetest baby. He still sleeps all the time, and during the day he has to be awakened after 3 hours for a feeding. At night he usually gets up once around 2 or 3 in the morning, and then he sleeps until 6 or 7. It's hard to believe! We have sure been blessed.

Some pictures and videos for you... enjoy!

Enjoying cuddly moments with Caleb

Caleb isn't the only one who likes the Moses basket

Here's more proof that these two always fall asleep when they cuddle together

I don't know how many of you have seen a Moby wrap, but I received one as a gift when I was pregnant with Jonah. I've been practicing with it around the house so that when I need to leave with both kids, I'll be able to put Caleb in it and Jonah in the stroller!

Here's Jonah after eating a black bottomed cupcake

Proud Dad and happy son

A couple close-ups of Caleb

And now for some pictures of the Baptism... Caleb's Godparents are Dan and Andrea, so mom was proxy for Andrea. Here we were listening to Fr. Colum's homily, which was beautiful!

Anointing the baby

The big moment

Fr. Colum was so proud.

After the ceremony, Fr. Colum wanted to consecrate the baby to the Blessed Mother, so he led us in prayers by the statue.

Jonah enjoying his time with Grandma and Grandpa. He is going to miss them, that is for sure!

And some videos...
