One Little Monkey

Jonah is into climbing on everything now. Yesterday I was up on one of the kitchen chairs to get something down from a shelf, and when I put the chair back next thing I knew Jonah was on top of it. I couldn't believe it! Now we have before us the work of keeping him on the ground. He favorite "toy" right now is the stroller, and he has discovered how to climb onto it.

Strong-Willed Child

This video needs some explanation. Before I started recording, I was scaring Jonah and he was running away and hiding- that is why I roar in the beginning. :) It's a pretty popular activity around here.

You'll see how strong-willed Jonah is when you watch this. He's learning to say the word "no" though he doesn't really get what it means. He also does NOT like it when you hold onto his arm in an effort to stop him from doing something. This is especially true when you're walking outside with him and you try to hold his hand- he squeals and pulls away with all his might. He likes to walk on his own! We have a strong-willed child on our hands.

Trapped in the Stroller

I guess I've taken to posting at night now! Here are just a couple pictures of Jonah with the small stroller. As you can see, he loves to get right in the middle of it, even if it means he'll be stuck.

And I mean STUCK... I had to pull him out several times today.

The Salute & The Broom

I have two videos to share. Before this first one, let me say that I really don't command people to do things around this house. However, Luke has taken to putting his arm out and loudly saluting me when I make a simple request of any kind, and in this video you'll see that he has taught Jonah to do the same. I think he only does it once or twice in the beginning, but at least you get the picture.

This was taken the day after Jonah's birthday. He got a little broom from Grammy and Pop, and this is how he walked around the house all day. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

A Day of Male Bonding

Yesterday, Luke and Jonah spent lots of time together, first when I went to Mass in the morning and then when I went to the church in the evening to help a music group get set up. Here are some of the things they did...

A Tub of Water & The Outdoors...

Jonah got to sit in a little tub of water this afternoon, and it was a sad moment when I had to take him out. He sure loves water.

Here he's checking out a t-shirt he got from Uncle Walt and Aunt Kim. Maybe if he put it up a little closer he could see it even better.
Every morning when Luke opens the door to head out to work, somehow Jonah slips out the door. It's very hard to keep him inside. So these two usually walk around a little outside before Luke leaves.
