A Poolside Visitor

I had a nice little surprise by our pool yesterday, as you can see in these two pictures

I always hear about the snakes in Florida, but I never saw one until now.

As soon as Luke got home from work, he used the long-handled pool brush to prod the snake over to the door and out of our enclosure.

The Proud... The Fearless... The Snake Saver
Oh how we love to clap our hands
Jonah and I played here in the hallway for a long time last night. We had fun. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Marina

Marina is one of my piano students, and yesterday she came over for a lesson. She's been disappointed the last few times because Jonah's been sleeping, but this time he was awake, so after the lesson, they had some fun together.

Reading a book

And rolling the ball to each other

This was the best moment of yesterday. Jonah was playing in the kitchen, and I went into the living room to do a couple quick things. When I walked back in, he was in just his diaper! You can see his little outfit on the floor here. I have no clue how he managed to get out of it, but he did. I laughed SO HARD, and then I let him play in his diaper for the rest of the afternoon.

Time for some cookies!

A little video of Jonah and Marina. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Goin' Outback

Last night we had a family dinner at Outback Steakhouse, and except for the fact that Jonah's attention span only lasted about 30 minutes, we had a great time!

Jonah had a lot of fun looking at the light above our table

and all the people coming in

He praised the Lord a lot, too

After Jonah wanted out of his high chair, Luke got very worn out keeping him happy

Then we went to Bed Bath and Beyond, where these two tried out the massage chair
And Jonah sat on the flowery bed

Here's a video we took at Outback Steakhouse when we first got there. This is how Jonah dancees to music. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Goodnight Moon!

Here's Jonah in his new sandals!

We went over to Dan's on Saturday for the Notre Dame game. And so did Fr. Bob.

As well as some other friends!

I can never get enough kisses, and Jonah can never get enough pointing.

Even when he's checking out my teeth, he still manages to suck his thumb.
He still checks daddy's teeth, too.
I love this little guy.

And he loves to read.

So precious.

Here's a video we took the other night when Luke had Jonah outside before bedtime. Jonah loves lights, so outside he mostly points to the moon and the lamppost beyond the next couple houses. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Books

He loves books! Here he is reading a favorite Thomas and the Weather, and although he is reading it upside down, I think he still enjoys it as much!
"Hmmm, this one looks pretty good."
I'll have to send this one to Glenn Beck!

This is one of his favorite activities right now. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Jonah and St. Joseph

We have a St. Joseph statue in our entryway (from Marlee :), and every night we stand by it to say goodnight prayers with Jonah. Well, over the last couple of days, he has been very interested in the statue, as you can see from these pictures:

"Hmmm, let me see here..."

Okay, Jonah, point to Jesus

Now point to St. Joseph's hand

Okay, give Jesus a pat on the head
Now can you point to St. Joseph's head? ("I've got to think about this one...")

"Right THERE."

Lately, he really enjoys this game. He only comes into the picture part of the time, but at least you can hear how hard he's laughing! Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Where's Jonah?

He likes his little truck
And the rosary

And the truck
And the rosary

Yesterday we went up to visit Luke, and here's Jonah in the elevator. He was waiting for the door to open.

Of course he loved the mouse!

He's always so helpful with the laundry. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all!
