Conversation Collectibles

#1: At Home Yesterday

Jonah (wimpering): "Finger hurts."

Me: "Your finger hurts, Jonah? What did you hit it on?"

Jonah (looking around, still wimpering): "Hit it... um... hit it... hit it on something!"

#2: On the Way Back from the Park

Jonah: "What the heck?"

Me (laughing out loud): "Oh Jonah, you are funny."

Jonah: "What the heck?"

Me (still laughing): "You make Mama laugh!"

Jonah: "Where the heck is the flag?"

Me (laughing too hard to say anything)

Jonah: "What the heck?"

Me (still laughing)

Jonah: "What the heck?"

Me: "Okay, Jonah. Okay."

Jonah: "That's enough."

#3: After Luke and Jonah returned from 5pm Mass

Me: "How was Mass, Jonah? What did you do at Mass?"

Jonah: "Daddy ate Jesus."

Me: "Daddy ate Jesus, that's right. Where is Jesus?"

Jonah (putting his hand on his chest): "In my heart!"

#4: During Prayers the Last Two Nights

(Kneeling around the table and a lighted candle)

Luke (after initial prayer): "Okay, Jonah, what do you want to thank Jesus for?"

Jonah: "Thank Jesus for the candle."

Luke: "That's nice. Now who would you like to pray for?"

Jonah: "Pray for the candle."

Daniel, Painting, and B-Ball!

Here are some videos I've been wanting to post for a while. This first one was taken when Maria and Tom were visiting... Daniel and Caleb were best buds... Caleb even felt comfortable enough to spit up in his presence. Ha ha ha...

I caught Jonah counting (or soething like that) the other day

Another one of Daniel and Caleb. They're already learning to take turns

Mom, I've wanted to post this for a while so you can see how much Caleb loves the jumper. He goes crazy in it now, and I venture to say it's his favorite place to be for a longer period of time.

We bought some little paints for Jonah, and so far it's been a popular activity. Who knows... if you have a birthday coming, his beautiful works of art might grace the front of your birthday card.

Luke and Jonah attend almost every basketball game right now. We have a bike trailer that Jonah rides in behind Luke, and he loves it. They bike to all the games, and since they've been doing that, Jonah plays basketball consantly at home. If you just sit and watch him, you'll see him doing and saying things he sees at the games. It's awesome. Luke caught him playing some b-ball here. Enjoy!

Dough Balls and More

The other day when I made pizza dough, I had an extra dough ball from the previous week, so I let Jonah have it. He had so much fun- it kept him occupied for quite some time!

Caleb really loves the jumper... this was taken a couple weeks ago, and since then he likes it even more.

Lately Jonah has enjoyed helping me keep the house tidy.

We've had some beautiful days here now. In these two videos, you'll see that Jonah got a thrill out of listening to his dad tell him where to throw the ball and then throwing it in the opposite direction.

Learning to skip!

Some Pics from Sanibel

Having lunch together at the park...

It was awesome spending time with Sr. Teresa, and she finally got to meet Caleb!

Jonah loved going down the slide.

His Godmother was right there to catch him.

Caleb smiled a lot for Grammy and Pop

We checked out the beach, only in the mornings and evenings.

The sand was a big hit!

Grammy and Pop visited us in Ave Maria before our trip to Sanibel. They brought us some costumes and toys from Uncle Darrin and Aunt Ginny. Jonah loves the singing doll.

Jonah's still playing with the doll.

Cuddling with Caleb is always a blast

Grammy and Caleb played with the giraffe for a little while

And Pop and Jonah looked through the costumes. I don't have any pictures of the kids in costumes because Jonah didn't want to wear one! So here's our Halloween picture... Jonah is in it, and a costume is in it. End of story.

That's all for now, folks. More to come sometime soon...

Week on Sanibel

We just got back from a week on Sanibel Island. It was wonderful! We spent time with Grammy and Pop, Sr. Teresa, Great Grandma Condit, and Uncle Jim. We took a bunch of pictures, but I couldn't get them to load today, so I'm only posting a few videos for now.

Enjoy!

We went to a park where they have animals, including all kinds of colorful and talkative birds. Here was a lady giving a presentation. Jonah was very attentive!

The next two videos were taken outside some shops on the island.

This was taken before we left for our vacation. Before you watch it, you need to see the Double Rainbow video on youtube. Here it is if you haven't seen it- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQSNhk5ICTI. Now you can watch the video below! Luke took it behind our house.
