More of Ft. Lauderdale

We brought Jonah's drawing toy, and he used it a lot while we were there. He liked sitting on the square footstool with it.

Or on the boppy pillow!

One of our daily activities was feeding the fish outside the hotel...

We went down to the harbor one day to look at the boats, and of course we had to make a quick stop at the beach. Jonah LOVED the sand, of course!

It was fun getting these two monkeys ready for bed every night!

I took Jonah to feed the fish one day, and the family standing there gave Jonah some cheerios to throw in.

If you ever wonder why families of young children don't like to travel much, here's why.

Luke was in Naples on Saturday getting mulch, and he stopped by Goodwill to see if there was anything he could pick up for Jonah. Here's what he came home with.

Some videos... enjoy!

Getting Away...

We're in Ft. Lauderdale for a few days, staying at the Embassy Suites... just for a little respite. We got here on Tuesday, about noon, and we leave tomorrow morning. It's been very enjoyable. Both of the boys have been sleeping well, so that's a huge help! Here are some pictures and a few videos.

Jonah had lunch as soon as we arrived on Tuesday...

while Caleb and I tried out the comfy chairs

Luke has been able to check his email, and you can see that Caleb hasn't had a problem sleeping on the bed.

He looks pretty relaxed, I'd say

He likes the boppy pillow even when he's awake!

We ordered outback steakhouse the other night, and since we were going to eat the food in the hotel room, I ordered a sandwich. It's just too hard to eat steak in a hotel room, but that just doesn't stop some people...

The three boys having dinner

We have a nice little balcony

I love this little guy

And he loves his daddy!

The atrium on the first floor of the hotel is very exciting for Jonah. There are trees, lamp posts, little waterfalls, bridges, and walkways. We've wandered around down there quite a bit!

Getting these two ready for bed last night...

We took this video before we left for Ft. Lauderdale. It's kind of dark, but hopefully you can still see how smiley Caleb is.

Playing & Snoozing & Mowing

Last Saturday we went to an outlet mall just to get out of the house and get some "fresh" air. It was a fun time for all. The first stop was the big fountain, of course.

We spent the rest of our time at the outdoor play spot for kids. Thankfully, it's covered so we weren't in the sun, but it was still very hot. We didn't stay for too long.

Caleb and I hung out on the bench while Luke watched over Jonah.

He checked out every single item in the place.

And climbed on all of of the ones he could

The castle was a big hit!

We no longer have this soccer ball because Jonah liked eating it more than kicking it.

Caleb took a little snooze on the couch the other night.

Our very patriotic little baby...

who still likes to cuddle

and chat with his daddy.

The other night Luke mowed our lawn...

thus inspiring Jonah to mow our back patio.

I just don't have time to explain these videos, so I'm just going to post them. Enjoy!

Gifts from Aunties

Auntie Am and Auntie Angie sent us alphabet window clings, and we put them up right away! Jonah loves them. He stands by the window quite often and points to the different letters. They are a huge help in learning the alphabet, I must say. Thanks, aunties!

We made a trip into Naples on Saturday, mostly to buy Jonah some new clothes. I picked out this shirt for him... isn't it cute?

Cleaning up after dinner the other night...

Here Jonah is wearing Thomas the Train pajamas that he got from Auntie Angie. He loves Thomas the train, so of course the pajamas are a real hit.

Enjoy the videos!

Smiling Caleb

Our couch takes on a new look most days. Boys need forts!

Here are the boys having a good time together. Jonah is very interested in the cars on Caleb's outfit.

We both got a nice smile out of him the other day...

This was obviously a more serious conversation

Enjoy the videos!

A Friendly Chat and Much More!

These two had a long friendly chat last night after Jonah went to bed. Caleb looked right at Luke the whole time, and he answered his questions as best he could! It was adorable.

This drawing toy that Jonah got from Uncle Tom and Auntie Maria is still one of his most beloved possessions! He draws on it every day, and as you can see here, this morning he rolled out of bed (well, I picked him up out of his crib) and he went straight to the drawing board! :)

Here are a bunch of videos. In this first one, you'll see that Jonah is learning his letters. We've been working on one letter a week for a while, and he has the first several down pretty well. He loves doing this...

And he loves putting stickers on his face, too...

In these next two videos, you'll witness the creativity of my husband and the bonding that takes place between him and Jonah every day. They have loads of fun together, and Luke does a great job of thinking up in-house activities. Not only that, but they usually tend to wear Jonah out so he's ready for bed by the time 8:00 rolls around!

I'm not sure where Jonah's love of "I'm a Little Teapot" originated, but whenever someone sings it, this boy gets up and dances. It's the cutest ever. Here's proof.

Here are a couple videos I took of Luke and Caleb last night when they were chatting. By the time I whipped out the camera, Caleb was already pretty tired, but you get the idea.
