Dr. Thornburg's

As you know, Luke takes Jonah outside every night to say goodnight to everything. A couple nights ago, it was a very breezy evening, and this is how Jonah said goodnight:

"night light! night, moon! night, car! night, flag! night, grass! night, windy!"

This morning Jonah had a doctor's appointment, and I did take some pictures afterwards. Dr. Thornburg runs his practice out of his home, which is out in the "country" in Naples... he has goats, chickens, and all kinds of other animals in the back, so this morning I took Jonah up to the fence to see them all. He could have stayed forever! Here are some pictures...

A little fatigue never stops Jonah when he's outside. He just sucks on his thumb and does what he does. :)

Looking at the chicken-

Pretty cool, isn't it?

He always finds a way to sit on daddy

Two videos at home, and two at the doctor's house. Enjoy!

Shoot It

Here's the snake we found outside our front door on Saturday evening. Luke did some research and found it's a corn snake and not venomous, thankfully.

We got Jonah a little basketball hoop that's adjustable, and now the only words we hear from him are "shoot it"... he's been playing basketball nonstop.

And still watching March Madness...

And learning how to eskimo kiss

Enjoy!

Dirty Little Jonah

Jonah has been a dirty little boy, let me tell you! :) In a good way, though. We recently found a place down the road with a lot of sand and rocks. It's not the one you saw the other day on the blog. It's a little bit farther of a walk, but it's great. There's a lot of sand, so it's basically our own little sandbox. There's also a ton of rocks, including a huge rock pile, which Jonah attempts to climb up and then slide down. He absolutely loves it. There are a few other things there he likes to play with, and next time we go I'll take some pictures of the whole scene so you can see what I'm talking about.

Here's dirty little Jonah last night. This dirt he acquired just sitting on the sidewalk out in front of our house. Remember the sprinkler head that Luke replaced the other day? Well, Jonah got hooked on it, and even though it's all done and taken care of, he still likes to dig around it like he saw his dad doing. Last night he got very dirty. He went from the sidewalk straight to the bathtub!

Leaf Tossing

Last night Luke replaced one of our defective sprinkler heads, and Jonah wanted to help, of course. He wants to do everything his dad does.

We've been going outside at least three times every day, and yesterday we tossed rocks and leaves into the water outside of Luke's office building. It was warm in the afternoon, but we sure had fun!

And Daddy even came out to visit!

Enjoy!

Sandyland

He's a climber, even if he has to climb on his daddy's head.

This week we've been playing a lot with sand. Jonah absolutely loves it! At some point we'll be building a sandbox, that's a given. Enjoy!

Jonah and Corban

Yesterday we had the pleasure of watching little baby Corban for a couple hours in the morning. It didn't take long for Jonah to warm up, though I did hold both of them a couple times. :) Anyway, here are some pics...

First, Jonah played in the crib while Corban played on the floor.

Then Corban tried out the bouncy seat. He really liked it!

And of course, after the baby was gone, Jonah wanted to get in the bouncy seat.

I took one video of Corban for his parents, so hopefully they'll see this one. It's so cute how he was talking, and Jonah was smiling at him the whole time!

I Toot

Every time Jonah passes gas he laughs- he just thinks it's the funniest thing. We'll have to start teaching him to say "Excuse me." It didn't work this morning, though. He passed gas and then he said "I toot." It was so funny.

We finally picked up Luke's other suit at Macy's... doesn't it look sharp?

They watched basketball together this weekend.

On Saturday night, we went to the Swamp Fest in Ave Maria, right behind the Oratory. Here's how it was set up. Luke was one of the judges.

Jonah and I sat at the judges table for the first few bands.

This is one of Jonah's favorite places to sit. And he LOVES taking Luke's hat off his head and throwing it on the ground.

At the mall in the play place.

We had a hard time getting to the play place because Jonah was fascinated by the shadows of the moving fans.

We stopped at the pet store and looked at the bunnies and dogs.

We stopped at Joann Fabrics, where Jonah thoroughly enjoyed the big stuffed duck.

"Hmmm, what else can I find?"

Ketchup is always a messy ingredient!

Sometimes we play in the car.

Enjoy!

March Madness for All

The ending of the winter olympics was very gloomy for Luke, but it is all forgotten now that March Madness has begun. The only one who has escaped the "duty" of filling out brackets is Caleb, for obvious reasons. Here you can see Jonah working on his...

We've been to the park just once since our return to Florida, and we had to try out Jonah's new basketball.

Enjoy the videos!

Books, Magnets, and Nick

Jonah is enjoying his books that Grandma D. bought for him.

A note to Grammy & Pop... the farm magnets made their way from the book to the fridge, and Jonah likes to move them around and name the animals. He's getting good at it!

We have Nick visiting this week, and it's been fun. Jonah has his name down, follows him around the house, and thoroughly enjoys playing with his computer and/or cell phone. We went over to the student union yesterday to watch Nick and Al broadcasting...

I can't remember what this video is, but I hope you like it! Enjoy!

Caleb & the Daredevil

This morning I went to the doctor, and Caleb looks great. He's measuring a little small (he's 3 lbs. 7 oz.), but everything looks very healthy. I saw his little nose, mouth, fingers, and toes. Jonah stayed with Mary Kate and Elizabeth while I was gone, and he did fine after the initial separation. He's going through a very clingy stage with Mama right now!

This morning when Jonah was in his high chair, he said three words "Rumba"... "Angie"... "Am". It was so cute. Andrea and Angela, he must have been thinking or dreaming about you guys (and the vacuum cleaner, I guess).

Last night after dinner Jonah sat in the booster seat for probably a good half hour working at the buckles. I finally turned the chair toward the window because I saw a cat outside, and Jonah spent the remainder of the time doing the buckle and saying "meow".

I hope you enjoy the videos! As you can see with the bouncing zebra, Jonah has found a new way to play on it. What a little daredevil.

Back with Daddy

Here we are at the airport, waiting to go through security. Jonah had fun with Grandpa and Grandma looking through the big windows at the planes.

This was the night before we left. Marlee and Jonah had a little storytime together.

And a couple videos since we've returned. Boy, is Jonah glad to be with his daddy again. Oh, and we don't know whose dog this is, but Jonah sure enjoyed him. Enjoy!

Read Read Read

We had the pleasure of watching Sarah for some time last night while her mom ran an errand, and she got to listen to lots of books!

Even Dr. D. read some books to Sarah, but he made up the words as he went. He couldn't fool her, though... she asked, "Why aren't you reading the words on the page?"

Jonah got in on a couple pages too.

So did Marlee, but she didn't seem too thrilled.

Uncle Tom and Jonah played with the computer.

What a cute pair

Mom and Jen talked of sewing...

These three spent some fun time together.

More books?

Here are two videos. It's so cute on this first one... Luke, when he heard Fr. Sean's voice on the computer, he kept saying "daddy"... it was adorable!

I think mom enjoyed dad's storytelling more than Sarah did.
