White Christmas--in the UP

We arrived safely in Michigan on Wednesday afternoon. The flights were both pretty good- the longer one was actually easier, surprisingly. Jonah slept the entire first flight, which was about two and a half hours long. The second flight, which was only an hour total, was more difficult as the plane was very small and Jonah didn't sleep at all! We flew into Green Bay at around 3:30pm, and then drove home from there with Grandpa Dougoveto and Auntie Angela.

We've been relaxing during our time here and just enjoying being with family. Tomorrow we will post some videos. For now here are some pictures...

Time with Grandma is precious

Here's Luke and his new nephew, Dominic, who is just adorable!

The gates are up, and Jonah likes to try and figure out how to get around them.

Dominic enjoys hanging out in Grandpa's arms

Chatting and playing games on Joe's phone have been popular activities

Here's Jonah opening up a gift from Uncle Walter and Aunt Kim

Morning hugs

The cousins are getting acquainted with each other

And Jonah is getting acquainted with many different things around the house, including the dishwasher

Thank goodness some of the Christmas tree bulbs are plastic

Just hanging around...

Right near Dominic is a pretty popular place!

Luke's been getting some solid reading time in, which has been nice to see!

Like I said, we'll post some videos tomorrow. Those who are not with us are in our thoughts and prayers. We hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas season! God bless.

B-Ball & Juggling

We went to watch an AMU b-ball game on Sunday. It was fun. Here's a few pics from that...

Jonah was getting ready for his afternoon nap.

These two look very excited, don't they?

Just last night we discovered how much Jonah likes to watch Luke juggle. Oh man, sometimes he laughs so hard! This first one was taken this morning, and the next three last night.

I took this the other morning right after Jonah got up. It was around 6:30am. We love this little outfit. And you'll see in here what he's learned to do. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

At the Park Again

Last night when we were saying our goodnight prayers with Jonah, Luke said "Bless Jonah and Caleb." Right away Jonah pointed to my belly... it was so funny! I couldn't believe it. He's keeping us very very busy these days.

We spent a lot of time at the park on Saturday because the weather was beautiful. Jonah went on the slide and the climbing wall. He and his dad also got to play some basketball. Here are a bunch of pictures...

Luke can always get Jonah to laugh!

It's gotten increasingly more difficult to do the blog every day. Ever since we moved the computer onto the desk, I hardly use it while Jonah is awake. That is why I haven't posted as much as usual lately. Here are some videos we've taken over the past few days. Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Student Life Christmas Party

They look so festive, don't they?

Patrick and I enjoying the party...

Jonah and Elizabeth are enjoying it too!

It was difficult getting Jonah to look at the camera when Elizabeth was nearby.

She didn't have a problem...

Jonah endearingly calls Dan "Nan" and sits on his lap quite often.

Last night Jonah would have fallen asleep here if it hadn't been time to leave the party...

Enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!

Baby Brother for Jonah!

Both Jonah and I had doctor appointments yesterday, and at my appointment we found out that Jonah is going to have a little brother. We have picked out a few different names and have gone back and forth but have decided upon Caleb Joseph. So far he looks very healthy and extremely active. The doctor could barely keep the cursor over the heart during the ultrasound because Caleb was moving around so much! Oh boy, another active one...

Jonah's appointment went very well. He's lost some weight due to sickness but is definitely on the upswing. His appetite is back, and he's just as active as ever. His molars are coming in now, so he has been running a bit of a fever, and he's been waking up at night, but hopefully those teeth will hurry up!

Playing with Jonah's toes is always a blast.

Jonah is learning to count from 1 to 5 on Luke's fingers... yesterday they practiced in the morning

Stephanie and Sarah stopped over last night to say good-bye before Christmas break. Jonah was quite happy to see them!

Sometimes we just sit back and wonder about our son... enjoy, have a great day, and love to all of you!
